 QaShontae Short, a lady from Michigan, United States, had a violent debate with a judge, Herman Marable Jr, on Thursday, over a complaint she filed alleging that a guy failed to honor her date. In 2020, Short sued her date, Richard Jordan, for $10,000, claiming that he "did not show and fled on her mother's birthday and her mother had just passed away." She stated he did this on purpose to inflict pain on her.

Neighbors of Bolu Bamidele, who was allegedly set on fire by his girlfriend for alleged adultery, said they had to shatter four windows to get to the victim. On Sunday, Bamidele's betrothed, Ifeoluwa, allegedly set fire to his house in Koka village, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, near the state capital, after discovering that her fiance had cheated on her and had a kid outside wedlock. She was also said to have left a statement on her WhatsApp status, implying that her actions were planned in advance.

 President Muhammadu Buhari has declared that the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, will win the 2023 presidential election. Buhari made the prediction, according to the president's spokesman, Malam Garba Shehu, when he met with Sen. Kashim Shettima, the All Progressives Congress' running mate and vice-presidential candidate, on Wednesday at the State House in Abuja. Shehu stated that in response to Shettima's flowery speech, the president assumed a funny tone, saying, "I will answer to your speech when I turn over to you and your boss." You will win, God willing. President Buhari, who met with the vice presidential candidate shortly after he was unveiled by the party's leadership and Bola Tinubu, expressed delight at the former's selection.
